Surah Al Fatiha

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ ۝ اَلرَّحْمٰـنِ الرَّحِیْمِ ۝ مٰلِکِ یَوْمِ الدِّیْنِ ۝ اِیَّاکَ نَعْبُدُ وَ اِیَّاکَ نَسْتَعِیْنُ ۝ اِھدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِیْمَ ۝ صِرَاطَ الَّذِیْنَ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَیْھِمْ غَیْرِ الْمَغْضُوْبِ عَلَیْھِمْ وَ لَا الضَّآلِّیْنَ ۝

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of existence.)
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The Owner of the Day of Recompense.
You (alone) we worship, and You (alone) we ask for help.
Guide us to the straight path.
The way of those on whom You have granted Your grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray
[Al-Fātiḥah: 1-7] [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 5733] [Sunan Abū Dawūd: 3896] Ṣaḥīḥ

Transliteration
Bismillāhir Raḥmānir Raḥīm
Alḥamdulillāhi Rabbil ‘ālamīna. Ar Raḥmānir Raḥīmi. Māliki yawmid dīni. iyyāka na‘budu wa iyyāka nasta‘īnu. ihdinaṣ ṣirāṭal mustaqīma. ṣirāṭal ladhīna an‘amta ‘alaihim ghairil maghḍūbi ‘alaihim walaḍ ḍāllīna.

Hadith

لَا بَاْسَ طَھُوْرٌ اِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ۔

No harm, (this illness will be) a purification, if Allah wills. ۔[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī: 5662]

Transliteration
Lā Ba’sa Ṭahūrun Inshā’Allāh.

Reference
Ibn ‘Abbās (r.a) narrated, Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) entered upon a sick man to pay him a visit, and said to him,
No harm, (this illness will be) a purification, if Allah wills.
The man said, ‘No, it is but a fever that is boiling within an old man and will send him to his grave.’ On that, the Prophet (s.a.w) said, ‘Then yes, it is so.’

اَسْاَلُ اللهَ الْعَظِیْمَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیْمِ اَنْ یَّشْفِیَکَ۔

I ask Allah, the Great, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to cure you.
(7 Times)

Transliteration
As’alullāhal ‘aẓīma rabbal ‘arshil ‘aẓīmi a(n)y yashfiyaka.

Reference
Ibn ‘Abbās (r.a) narrated, Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) said, ‘Anyone who visits a sick person whose time has not yet come and says seven times in his presence
I ask Allah, the Great, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to cure you.
Allah will cure his illness.

[Sunan Abū Dāwūd: 3106] Ṣaḥīḥ

اَذْھِبِ الْبَاْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَ اشْفِ اَنْتَ الشَّافِیْ لَا شِفَاءَ اِلَّا شِفَاؤُکَ شِفَاءً لَّا یُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا۔

O Lord of mankind! Remove the disease and bring about healing as You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no ailment.

[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 5707]

Transliteration
Adh-hibil ba’sa Rabban nāsi washfi antash shāfī la shifā’a illā shifā’uka shifā’a(n)l lā yughādiru saqaman.

Reference
‘Ā’ishah (r.a) narrated that when one of us would be unwell, the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) used to pass his right hand over the place of ailment and used to say,
O Lord of mankind! Remove the disease and bring about healing as You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no ailment.

بِسْمِ اللهِ (x3)

اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ وَ قُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا اَجِدُ وَ اُحَاذِرُ (x7)

In the name of Allah (3 Times), I seek refuge in Allah and His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear (7 Times). [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 5737]

Transliteration
* Bismillāh
* A‘ūdhu billāhi wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uḥādhiru.

Reference
‘Uthmān bin Abū Al-‘Āṣ Al-Thaqafī (r.a) reported that he complained to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) about the pain that he felt in his body at the time he had become Muslim. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, put your hand at the place where you feel pain in your body and say,
3 times

اَسْاَلُ اللهَ الْعَظِیْمَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیْمِ اَنْ یَّشْفِیَکَ۔

I ask Allah, the Great, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to cure you. (7 Times)

Note: When supplicating for your own self recite a(n)y yashfiyanī instead of a(n)y yashfiyaka. [Sunan Abū Dawūd: 3106] Ṣaḥīḥ

Transliteration
As’alullāhal ‘aẓīma rabbal ‘arshil ‘aẓīmi a(n)y yashfiyaka. (7 times)

Reference
‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Abbās (r.a) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, ‘If anyone visits a person who is sick whose time (of death) has not come, and reads for him seven times,I ask Allah, the Great, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to cure you. Allah will cure him from that disease.’

اِمْسَحِ الْبَاْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ بِیَدِکَ الشِّفَاءُ لَا یَکْشِفُ الْکَرْبَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ۔

O Lord of mankind! Remove the disease. In your hand is all cure, there is no one to relieve sorrow and distress except You. [Musnad Aḥmad, Vol: 40, 24234] Ṣaḥīḥ

Transliteration
Imsaḥil ba’sa Rabban nāsi biyadikash shifā’u lā yakshiful karba illā anta.

Reference
‘Ā’ishah (r.a) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) read, ‘
O Lord of mankind! Remove the disease. In your hand is all cure, there is no one to relieve sorrow and distress except You.
And then blew over him (the sick person).’

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكُم مَّوۡعِظَةٌ۬ مِّن رَّبِّڪُمۡ وَشِفَآءٌ۬ لِّمَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدً۬ى وَرَحۡمَةٌ۬ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ • قُلۡ بِفَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٲلِكَ فَلۡيَفۡرَحُواْ هُوَ خَيۡرٌ۬ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ

(57. O mankind! There has come to you good advice from your Lord, and a cure for that which is in your breasts, — a guidance and a mercy for the believers.) (58. Say: “In the bounty of Allah, and in His mercy; therein let them rejoice.” That is better than what (the wealth) they amass.)
